Japan might have tested our resolve by means of topography and weather, but the people we have met have been by far the kindest, most polite and friendly (if a tad bit shy) that we've ever encountered.
It is no secret that our journey would have ended without the help of all these wonderful people, and there is no way for us to thank them enough. What we can do, however, is try to follow their example, and hopefully one day be able to help out another fellow being.
And even after all this, when we know words will never suffice, we wish to humbly bow our heads and say arigato! Thank you for saving us!
