This time we opted to pack our bikes in cardboard boxes, as we would depart from an entirely different location than where we arrived. The idea of lugging a set of bulky bike bags with us was not an appealing thought, and the boxes could be discarded at the airport upon arrival. To give the bikes some extra protection for the long journey, Kaisa got us some pipe insulation. Given that the bikes came back to us intact, we would say this worked out just fine!
